Obedience and Instruction
In Kingdom advancement and prosperity, two important attributes which will take you far in life in your relationship with the LORD God as a Christian, and make your ways prosperous is your ability to; Listen 👂 to and obey God’s commandments and instructions.
A lot of Christians have been praying, going from one mountain to another, sowing all sorts of seeds and are now fatigued with no results to show, very bitter and angry against God for not answering their prayers
The truth is that God’s ear is not deaf to hear their prayers and supplication. But what they failed to know and understand is that God had answered their prayers by giving them instructions to obey to get their desired results but because their heart was set on how he should answer they ignored His Instructions, running from pillar to post with Nothing to show for it.
While some who obeyed and got their desired result, failed to sustain it because they disobeyed His Instructions and Command, given either through His Word, servant or given to them directly Himself.
See;
This was the case with the Israelites in Exodus 16:1- 28 where God fed the Children of Israel with Manna from Heaven.
Before giving them Manna, the LORD God instructed His servant, Moses, to tell the Israelites that when He makes provisions for Manna, every household and individual is to gather just the portion they need for the day, not for the next day. In order words Manna is a daily bread meal.
Why Did you the LORD God give Moses this instruction for His people ahead of giving them Manna?
“… I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.”
Exodus 16:4
Did the Children Pass the Test?
” But they did not listen to Moses; some people left part of it until morning, and it became infested with maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.” Exodus 16:20
The Children of Israel failed God’s test. They did not obey His Instructions through His servant and of course, there were consequences.
The LORD God taught the Children of Israel the importance of Instruction and Obedience to His Commands, by giving Moses another instruction.
“On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much—two omers for each person—and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.
He said to them, “This is what the LORD commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.” So they put some aside until morning, just as Moses had commanded. And in the morning the leftover food was wholesome and good, without maggots or odor. Exodus 16:22- 24

📍When the Children of Israel obeyed the LORD God’s Instructions and Command, and gathered the same Manna 2 portions for the Sixth and Seventh-day, in the morning the leftover food was wholesome and good, without maggots or odor.
It was the same Manna, not another, which became infested with maggots and began to smell, when some of them took more than a day’s portion, against God’s Instructions.
Obedience to the LORD’s command and instructions preserved it.
Beloved, the Consequences of Being Disobedient to God’s Instructions and Command are better imagined than experienced.
It brings untold hardship, toiling without results to show for it, weariness, bitterness anger and the feeling that God is partial, loves some people and favours them, while he hates them.
Before pointing fingers at God and Satan, as being responsible for your woes and hardship, make sure you are not a disobedient Child of God, which has given the Devil the foothold to come in and operate in your life.
The Commands and Instructions of God are to help us and guide us in line with His Principles to enjoy all that pertain to Life and godliness as God’s Children. 2 Peter 1:3
Prayer is good dear Christian, but there is a place for prayer, and there is also a place for obeying the LORD God’s Instructions.
Reflect and meditate, what instructions have the LORD God given to you either expressly through the Scriptures or to you personally, that you have failed to obey, which is making life and things hard for you?
For how long will you keep sacrificing on the altar of prayer and seed sowing from place to place without results?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that prayer and seed sowing are not good. They are part of the tenets of the Christian faith. But Scripture tells us;
” Wisdom is profitable to direct.” Your ability to know which principles are applicable at every point in your Christian journey and relationship with God to get your desired results is wisdom.
Remember, it is written;
“But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22
The LORD God value your Obedience to His Commandments and Instructions more than any seed or sacrifice you bring Before Him.
Your disobedience weary 😩 Him
“The LORD asked Moses, “How long will these people refuse to obey my commands and instructions? Exodus 16:28
It’s my prayer for you, that from today you become intentional about Obeying God’s Command and Instructions, knowing that it pleases Him. And when your ways please the LORD, He makes your enemies to be at peace with you, and there is Nothing you desire according to His Will for you, that He won’t give you or do for you.
God Bless You.
