Enough of the New Year Resolution dear Christian!
Every new year, people all over the world make and write down new year resolutions of the things they hope to change, stop, start or achieve in the new year.
Most times,80% of these thought-out or written new year resolutions, they end up discarding and don’t really pay attention to till the year runs out.
So they postpone them to next year to do resolution. This goes on and on, like a recycled bin.
When that year is about to come to an end, they start again going on and on about their resolutions for the new oncoming year.
Friends and family tired of hearing them say the same thing over and over again
just roll their eyes, nod their heads and say; yeah! we heard this last year and the year before.
Please say something different.
One striking thing I have come to observe is that most times, whilst you hear people take about all they have planned out in their personal lives, career, and relationships, you rarely hear or see them saying or writing down the resolution to improve their walk and relationship with their Chi (God).
Funny as it may sound, they seem to forget that all things; their life, resolutions, and all that they desire to acquire or achieve, can only be possible if their Chi (God) allows it.
You will agree with me, that there is a force in control and in charge of the universe.
How do you explain;
- The sun
- The Moon
- Millions of galaxies up there spinning yet they have never crashed into one another or spun out of control
- The mist-like mystery life span of “man”. One minute he is sleeping on his bed amongst his loved ones. The next minute he is embalmed and put in the morgue.
Breathe of life gone out of him, just like a mist in the air. Here one minute disappears in the next minute.
Yet you hear some people say and argue that there is no God.
Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God”.
Psalm 14:1 (NLT)
So it is written in the Holy Bible.
There is a God who owns our breath of life and is in charge of the universe.
He determines who stays and who goes.
Truth be told He is so powerful that He cannot be questioned as to the decisions He makes concerning mankind (you and I), and the whole universe.
He is the source of life and existence.
It is said; “You can’t keep doing the same thing all the time, and expect a different result”.
The new year 2022 is here again.
Rather than write and make new year resolutions that you are not even sure you will be alive to see through, nor are you sure you will achieve like the previous years.
Do something different.
Start the new year with spiritual introspection (not religious activities).
Seek out the Source of your existence on earth, your Chi (God) to know him personally for yourself.
Go on a romantic and spiritual awakening of your inner mind’s journey with Him this year.
In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of making ends meet on earth, we forgot that we are spirit beings, living in mortal bodies. We have lost touch with our spiritual essence, which makes us unique and in tune with our true selves.
This can only happen when we are not in sync with our Chi.
I’m not talking about engaging in religious activities. No.
I’m saying you should go on a spiritual discovery pilgrimage by spending time with your Chi, bonding with Him, and renewing your relationship will reveal to you, your true self.
… “but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits”. Daniel 11: 32b (NKJV)
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”.
Matthew 6:33(NKJV)
Seek first your Chi and His kingdom, every other thing shall be added unto you.
The contract you seek, the right marriage partner, new house, new car, scholarship, a promotion at work, all are possible with less strength and energy that you have been putting in all these years without having any result to show year in year out if you will just seek your Chi out first.
For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion”. So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Romans 9:15 -16(NKJV)
King Solomon said:
I returned and saw under the sun that;
The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding.
Nor favour to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all
Ecclesiastes 9:11
Beloved the race of life is not to the wise, strong, swift (fast), intelligent, or skilled (qualification). No, it’s not.
Our Chi determines who wins or loses by His own free will and mercy. Since this is so, rather than running after all these things, in the end, it’s a futile race.
Is it not better to go to the Source where there is assurance that you will get all that you seek and more?
Would you rather be given a fish or taken to the ocean (source) where you can get a variety of fish to fish from?
Dare to be different this year 2022, by doing things differently than you used to.
Dare to lean on your Chi, seek Him out for yourself. Not on the premise of what anyone has told you about Him in the past.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)
Do not perish or struggle unnecessarily for lack of knowledge. Dare to be strong and do exploits in business, career, education, relationship, and your day-to-day activities because of what you know.
Be wise.
Raise your glass of wine, water, or juice, lets’s toast to the New Year of doing things differently and getting results, by “ riding on the wings” of your Chi (God).
